Who has the power now?

Hello people!

I just found some very interesting videos regarding company-customers reactions regarding the community and its perceived quality and hence the image of the brand.

Besides the community itself where you can log in if you have an ebay account, ebay is promoting its community through viral components such as tutorial videos posted on youtube. com, using classial push strategies like emotional incentives and possibility to gain more money/build stronger networks using the brand community as a launching step.

How to earn the trust of the Ebay Community


On the other side the power of the customer (because "we are the media") is shown through a series of negative video responses due to the change of the ebay policy change.

  1. Here is some information about the policy change on ebay

    - the fees the site charges for selling merchandise has changed.
    - the sellers will no longer be allowed to post online feedback about buyers who flake out or abuse the system.
    - restriction on digital downloadable products and how they can be sold in their marketplace.

    And there are more other stuff.
